REAL NAME: AMANDA McKEE
Amanda McKee grew up in the American foster system until her latent psiot powers caught the notice of Toyo Harada, the genius-level billionaire leader of Harada Global Conglomerates, and he took her under his wing. Toyo was a strict but caring figure in her life whose psionic abilities of telekinesis and telepathy triggered when the atomic bomb fell on Japan in the final days of World War II.
Raised by the Harbinger Foundation, a secret academy aimed at activating and training young psiots that, like Toyo, exhibited an array of psychic abilities, through a difficult and painful artificial process many did not survive, she grew into a position of leadership, while her technopathy earned her the name Livewire.
After aiding Peter Stanchek against Harada, Livewire went into exile, forsaking her life at the Foundation. She later accepted Harada’s call to halt X-O Manowar’s efforts to claim Romania as a Visigoth homeland. She, Ninjak, and the Eternal Warrior formed a team known as Unity and managed to strip Aric of the X-O armor. Amanda briefly wore the armor, which boosted her technopathy and enabled her to access the entirety of Harada’s secret records. Upon returning the suit to Aric, he joined Unity and the team agreed to work with MI-6 to protect Earth from superhuman threats under Livewire’s leadership.
Livewire’s investigation into the secrets of the Harbinger Foundation led her to secret facilities called the Willows, where hundreds of psiots with abilities deemed not useful to the Foundation’s aim resided. She managed to track down a group who survived an assault by H.A.R.D. Corps — psiot-hunter program created by Project Rising Spirit — on the Oklahoma City Center after the Harada files went public. When the kids became targets again, she shut down the power grid of the US, which caused chaos around the country and incited the Second Harbinger Wars.
Major Palmer of H.A.R.D Corps worked with Ninjak and X-O Manowar to take down Stanchek, but both heroes — who had worked with Livewire — turned on the mission when they discovered the extent to which the Foundation had tortured the children. Ninjak prevented Palmer from taking on a group of kids in an Ohio city, while Aric let Livewire escape after she used Bloodshot, remotely-controlled, to crash the Love Boat, G.A.T.E.’s flying vessel. She and the newly-dubbed Secret Weapons have been on the run ever since.
While as part of Unity, Ninjak and Livewire became lovers; what began as a casual encounter turned into a fierce loyalty for Ninjak, backed by the fact that he didn’t turn them in to the authorities though he was still able to locate her and the Secret Weapons.

OTHER DETAILS: She designed her own nano-molecular suit modeled after Aric’s X-O Armor. Lined with countless fly link wing bristles, it enables her to fly. Further modifications, make the costume able to conjure up and/or assimilate scrap parts into it for creating artillery. Some copper wiring lined into her nano suit, allows her to siphon and polarize limitless energy using plant matter as fuel source.
