The upstart publisher reveals its plans for a free 'Valiant Beyond Preview Edition' ashcan to be distributed at IDW Publishing's Booth during Comic-Con International: San Diego 2025
Comic book fans who visit IDW Publishing's booth (#2729) at this year's Comic-Con International: San Diego will be among the first to get a glimpse of the exciting future of Valiant Comics as publisher Alien Books announced plans for a free giveaway of the Valiant Beyond Preview Edition Ashcan, while supplies last.
"We've talked a lot about how excited we are to be launching Valiant Beyond, but the time for talk is over," explains Alien Books Director/Editor-in-Chief Matias Timarchi. "We want readers to be as hyped up as we are for the incredible stories and artwork that await them in these new #1s and the Valiant Beyond Preview Edition Ashcan is the perfect way to show off the start of this dynamic new era of Valiant Comics."
The Valiant Beyond Preview Edition Ashcan will feature select scenes from new series BLOODSHOT #1, TALES OF THE SHADOWMAN #1, ALL-NEW HARBINGER #1 and THE X-O MANOWAR #1, the first titles to be released as part of the new publishing partnership between Alien Books and IDW Publishing.
All four series are designed to be new-reader friendly, offering exciting and fresh standalone stories that don't require encyclopedic knowledge to enjoy while still providing hints of deeper connections and easter eggs to long-time Valiant fans.
"The Valiant Beyond creative teams have nailed that delicate balance between offering bold new interpretations on iconic characters and keeping their core personalities and attitudes intact and recognizable," added Alien Books Director of Communications Ron Cacace. "We truly believe in the quality of the stories being told in Valiant Beyond and we can't wait to see people's reactions first-hand when they read through the ashcan."
A limited number of the VALIANT BEYOND PREVIEW EDITION ASHCAN will be available for free at IDW Publishing's booth #2729 while supplies last.
Upcoming issues of VALIANT BEYOND are currently available for pre-order through the IDW Publishing Monthly Catalog and PRH Comics.
